This is the place where we post photos and limited descriptions of our food choices. As of September 2022, our format changed; we now prepare a post for the coming week’s food wherein we post our selections for a given week/weekend. The weekly post serves as a Menu Planner and is also used to log weekday food with links to photos of some meals. Each individual weekend or special meal will be recorded in it’s own post on the day it’s served.
The category “Potest Esse Melius” is Latin for “it can be better,” and is reserved for those recipes that don’t meet with our complete approval.
The category “Cena Laute Optimaque” is Latin for “sumptuous and excellent dinner” and is reserved for those recipes that deserve more than the maximum five star rating.
Our Motto “Ars culinaria gratis artis culinariae” is Latin for “Culinary art for the sake of culinary art.” Borrowed from MGM’s famous motto, “Ars gratia artis” or Art for Art’s Sake.
